First edition. Twelvemo (5 7/8 x 3 5/8 inches; 149 x 91 mm). [12], 124; 52, 55-72, 72-76, 76-08 [i.e. 80], 80-81, 83-84, 84-91 [i.e. 90] pp. Book II with numerous pagination errors but collation is correct and matches British Library. Book II lacking leaf C3 (pages 53-54) and one of the plates ("King of Poland"). With the engraved frontispiece depicting "The Counsell of Clremont" and "The Army of Pilgrims" as well as one other folding plate "Grand Visirs Standard." Also with 4 copper engraved portraits in the text annotated in a neat hand; p.13 is Peter Y. Hermit, First Mover of the Holy War; p.33 is Godfrey D.K. of Bovelion, the First Christian King of Jersulaem; p. 10 from Book II is Richard the 2nd, King of England and Jersulam and p.35 from Book II is Frediky 2nd Emper of Germany. No copy has come up for auction in the last 40 years and only 3 or 4 copies show up on OCLC.

Contemporary paneled calf, neatly rebacked to style. Boards tooled in blind. All edges dyed red. Some top margins trimmed close, occasionally brushing headline. Folding plate with a reinforced outer edges. Overall a very good copy of a rare book.
