Limited to 200 numbered copies, this being number 176. Folio (13 1/2 x 9 3/8 inches; 342 x 238 mm.). [2, blank], [6], 157, [1, blank], [9], [1, blank] pp. Printed in Poliphilus type on Arnold and Foster handmade paper. Openings and initial letters, printed in red and pale blue, designed by Alfred J. Fairbank and cut on wood by R. John Beedham. Seventeen hand-colored armorial shields, identified by A. van der Put and engraved on wood by Reynolds Stone. Two maps drawn by Berthold Wolpe and lettered by Alfred J. Fairbank.

One of 183 copies bound in full dark brown oasis. Front cover stamped in gilt with the arms of St. Louis. Gilt-lettered spine with five raised bands. Top edge gilt, others uncut. Stamp-signed on rear pastedown: "Gregynog Press Bindery". Two previous owner's bookplate on front endpapers. A fine copy.
