The Kamashastra Edition, a variation of "The Illustrated Library Edition." One of 500 sets housed in the original casket box. Twelve large octavo volumes (10 x 6 3/8 inches; 250 x 160 mm). With seventy-one original illustrations which are from the original oils painted by Albert Letchford. Printed on Japanese vellum. Half-titles, title-pages and facsimile title-pages printed in red and black. Tissue guards. This is a reprint of the original Kama Shastra Society edition for private subscribers only. The present set contains all original 16 volumes in 12.

Publisher's half dark red morocco over green cloth boards. Spines stamped and lettered in gilt. Spines lettered English and Arabic in gilt. Top edges gilt, others uncut. Marbled endpaper. Some occasional minor rubbing. Overall a very good set. All volumes housed in the original brown morocco casket case. Case with hinged lid, and brass clasp and lock. Arabic title is stamped in gilt on lid. Lid is detached. Much wear and rubbing to extremities. Still a very good set, rare to find in the original case.
