Limited to 300 copies, signed by Harrer, this being number 109. Quarto (12 3/4 x 9 inches; 325 x 227 mm). With an introduction by the Dalai Lama. Also with six photogravures from Harrer's original negatives, and a map laid into the front of the volume illustrating Harrer’s journey. With publisher's prospectus.

Strikingly bound by hand in natural Buré silk imported from India. Front cover stamped in blind. Volume is wrapped in a burgundy and orange cotton cloth and set between magnolia wood panels, the front panel hand-carved with Tibetan good-luck charms, and secured with two black ribbons with brass clasps. Fine.
