One of 100 numbered copies, signed by the Publishers and Engravers/Printers, on the limitation page, and with each plate signed by the Artist, out of a total edition of 600 copies. This being number 19. Large quarto (21 1/8 x 19 9/16 inches; 537 x 497 mm.). [4] pp., including engraved title-page and limitation statement. Twelve large color plates mounted in mats with descriptive tissue-guards. Each mat signed in pencil by the artist.
Rebound to style in full vellum over boards. Front cover lettered in gilt. New white silk ties. Housed in a black cloth slipcase with morocco tips.
Of the 600 copies of this portfolio (which preceded the American portfolio by two years), one hundred were bound in full vellum and five hundred in half vellum; though the one hundred in full vellum were all supposed to carry Rackham’s signature, only about twenty of them actually did. This portfolio and the American edition contain the largest Rackham plates ever printed.
Greatly enlarged from their earlier appearance, these twelve plates are considered to be Rackham’s personal favorites from the fifty that appeared in his 1906 illustrated trade edition of Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens.
